GLOBAL SCHOOL STRIKE FOR CLIMATE
15th March 2019
Ellie took part in the first Global school strike for climate justice! The numbers had significantly risen from February as nearly 80 students left classes to march for their futures! This march was far more eventful, as they marched all the way to both King's College and Huish 6th form to ask the students to join them as they march for their futures. We then did a die in at Orchard shopping centre which created large outrage, which was exactly what we wanted, because climate change is outrageous! Afterwards, they gathered on the roundabout and chanted from there! Ellie got to chat to John Hunt - from the independent party about the issue of climate change, and he explained that the local politicians are very supportive of our strikes!
